Brent Raynes will be joining us on Unraveling the Secrets this week!

Brent Raynes of Waynesboro, Tennessee, has been on the trail of UFOs since 1967, beginning when he was only 14. Although he initially embraced the mainstream “nuts and bolts” extraterrestrial hypothesis as the only possible explanation, his focus and range of interests quickly evolved and branched out to include a vast spectrum of other anomalous phenomena, ranging from all types of psychic phenomena (i.e., poltergeists, out-of-body experiences, near-death experiences, telekinesis, telepathy, etc.), to cryptozoology (i.e., Bigfoot, Mothman, Nessie, etc.), as well as spiritual manifestations like the Mother Mary apparitions and visions of Fatima, or shamanism, with a special interest and respect for Native American spirituality.

Brent Raynes is the editor of Alternate Perceptions magazine (www.apmagazine.info; www.mysterious-america.net) and the author of Visitors From Hidden Realms(2004) and On The Edge of Reality (2009). Brent has appeared on various popular radio programs, including Coast to Coast AM, several times as a guest of Brad Steiger on the Jeff Rense Show, and has his own radio show on Liveparanormal.com, which he co-hosts with his daughter Chandra, entitled (of course) Alternate Perceptions. Brent has also done a good number of presentations, workshops, and lectures across the country, including two special UFO conferences that the ARE (Association for Research and Enlightenment) sponsored at their international headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia, back in December 2005 and then again in November 2010, which not only invited Brent back as a speaker, but also named the conference after his first book, entitling it Visitors From Hidden Realms.

Brent points out that the earliest and most powerful influences on the evolution of his ufological thinking were the articles and books written by such noteworthy and pioneering authors as John Keel, Jacques Vallee, and Brad Steiger.

Andy Colvin is an eclectic artist, filmmaker, writer, and environmentalist who has been called “his generation’s Charles Fort” and “one of America’s great original thinkers.” Colvin is arguably the world’s first “synchroconspiracist,” and was one of the founders of the “street art” movement now popular in Los Angeles. Colvin was also one of the first “spoken word” artists, and is considered by many to be the world’s foremost authority on the mysterious “Mothman” phenomenon, due to his early experiences with the phenomenon and his intensive audovisual documentation of symbols and synchronicities.

Andy Colvin was born in Charleston, WV, in 1959. In 1966, Colvin’s neighborhood – the same neighborhood where Charles Manson and Sara Jane Moore grew up – was hit by a series of mysterious phenomena, such as exotic flying craft, Men in Black, and the intriguing entity now known as “Mothman.” After these encounters, Colvin found that he could draw, sing, and take pictures, and that he had a photographic memory.

Following in the footsteps of Fortean author John A. Keel, Colvin has blazed a 21st Century trail of investigation into mysteries that have plagued mankind for centuries, such as UFOs, creature entities, magic, and the psychology of the human mind. Colvin’s approach is unique in that it blends a background of genuine paranormal experience with decades of research into political science, history, media behavior, and sociology. His understanding of art and symbology has, at times, allowed Colvin to connect dots that previously escaped attention.

Unraveling the Secrets is excited to welcome Paul Dale Roberts to the show!

Roberts was born on January 17, 1955 in Fresno, California. He has an Associate Degree in Criminology. In 1977, Roberts for one year was a firefighter with the California Division of Forestry. Firefighting was not his cup of tea.

Military Career:
Roberts from 1973 to 1976 served with the US Army’s D.S.T. (Drug Suppression Team) C.I.D. (Criminal Investigation Division) in Germany, working undercover narcotics. From 1979 to 1986 Roberts served in the US Army’s Military Intelligence. Working at PIC-K (Photo Interpretation Center in Korea). Roberts held a Top Secret S.B.I. (Special Background Investigation) clearance as an Intelligence Analyst, later receiving an H-Identifier with OPFOR (Opposing Forces), where Roberts wore a Soviet uniform, ski mask and trained elite troops like US Army’s Special Forces, 101st Airborne, Air Force Special Operations, Delta Force, 82nd Airborne, Marine Recon the Soviet Threat and W.E.F.T. (Wings, Engine, Fuselage, Tail section) in identifying Soviet aircraft.

Dancing Career:
Roberts from 1976 to 1979 became involved in professional dancing and was a dance instructor for Arthur Murrays. Roberts danced with Jeff Kutache’s Dancing Machine in Lake Tahoe and Reno. Roberts appeared as an extra in movies like Rollerboogie and Skatetown USA. He later captured the Guinness Book of World Records for disco dancing 205 hours, in which Ripley’s Believe it or Not featured him in a cartoon, which can be seen here:
